What I'd like to do is level a gathering alt while I sit in the que on my main.

Why not let us play on a different toon while qued in the dungeon finder, and when the que pops automatically switch us over?

I know blizzard has been doing what they can to help shorten dungeon ques, but when I que for a za/zg without my guild group I end up waiting 1/2 an hour, then end up leaving before the end a good portion of the time because the group I get put with just isn't able to do it. I do the new dailies while waiting, but after them I find myself standing around not really doing anything I'm interested in while waiting for another 30 minutes to pass.

What I'd like to do is level a gathering alt (or gather on it once it's 85) while I sit in the que on my main. Obviously I wouldn't be allowed to que up for anything on the alt while doing this, but that's not really a problem- I'm waiting to play where I want to anyway.
